So this dress might not be dead on Emerald Green but it’s close & makes me think of the color that is popping up all over ever since Pantone announced it as the color of the year! This little number would be pretty perfect for a Bridal Shower. I love the combination of the green & navy! A vibrant punch of color is exactly what every bride needs!
Happy Valentine’s Day, all! Have anything special planned?
Whoa! We unexpectedly took a little blogging break. Yikes. This is our first edition of “Inspiring Spaces” & we are excited to introduce it to the blog. We constantly encourage our clients to be inspired by every day life. The things that define their relationship, the simple things that make them tick. Sometimes the most random things inspire us, so don’t be afraid to throw it against the wall & see if it sticks!
A couple weeks back, we (the fam that is) & some dear friends made up a holiday “Tourist Day 2012.” If you follow us on twitter or instagram (kensingtonryan) you would have seen bits & pieces of our adventure. The point of the day was to soak in the city that lies just 30 short miles up the road. Strap on the camera, eat food & play in LA for the day, as tourists.
Our first stop on TD2012 was Pink’s Hot Dog! Have you been? I have wanted to go for years but have a serious food window & the line was always so long & I was already in my food window. But, I digress.
As we were sitting there, devouring our full loaded hot dogs, it got me thinking. How fun would it be to have gourmet hot dogs at a wedding reception? You could create incredible hot dogs for your guests to enjoy with names that relate to your relationship! Am I alone in this? I sure hope not because I would be one excited guest! If not for your reception…there is always the rehearsal dinner!
See…Pink’s Hot Dog. A random place that got my mind a swirling! Happy Post-Mother’s Day Monday! I hope your weekend was as killer as ours was!
We thought this little number would be a hit at any engagement party. Feminine touches of blush with just the right amount of sparkle! Let’s be real, this outfit could work for far more nights out than just an engagement party. Maybe if I think happy thoughts it will magically appear in my closet! Would this outfit make your closet wish list, like it did ours?
Feeling crafty? I sure was this morning! It’s grey, gloomy & rainy. In my opinion, not a better day to get your craft on. Chevron is still all the rage, lately. I thought it would be fun to take an every day lacquer charger & add some chevron love!
Grab a charger, painters tape & spray paint (whatever color you can dream up)! Gold is BACK. I love the look of metallic gold & aqua. But, how fun would gold & blush be? Or neon pink & white.
I found using the painters tape above my original pattern really helped making the pattern even & easy to do.
Once you are happy with your pattern. Trust me, mine is far from perfect! Grab your charger & head outside for a little painting. I threw some plastic down to protect the ground.
Coat the spray paint as much or as little as you want. I really wanted the contrast, so I completely sprayed the charger with the aqua paint. Now, here comes the HARDEST part. For me, at least. Wait until the charger has completely dried before removing the paint. I get so eager to see how it came out that I usually cheat & take it off too soon! Don’t be tempted…it’s NOT worth it! Promise.
Fun, right? How amazing would a long table be, with chevron chargers for each guest? What’s that? Not planning an event or wedding any time soon? No biggie. How about you craft one up & use it for a catch all tray?
So what are you waiting for? Go, go now & get your craft on!
* keep in mind. spray paint isn’t the friendliest with food. if you are hoping to serve food directly on your charger, make sure you get a food safe paint. Michael’s is a good spot to look!
Happy Weekend, everyone! I hope you all had a great week. Have any BIG plans for this holiday weekend? The hubs, the baby cake & I are headed to San Luis Obispo to celebrate Beckham’s first Easter!

Whatever your plans are this weekend…enjoy them! Happy Friday!
Our clients sometimes ask “what should I wear to my shower” or “rehearsal dinner” or “bridal shower?” As a fun blog addition, we decided to feature style files offering different options that we think would work for all your upcoming big dates. We hope you all enjoy the style files, as much as we loved putting the looks together.
I am sure you have all heard the Pantone color of the year is Tangerine Tango. We put this little number together on Polyvore & thought it would be the perfect pairing with any bridal shower. This cute tangerine number paired with navy & white stole our hearts. Don’t be afraid to wear bold colors. This is your time to stand out in the crowd!
